Fee
An Independent Examination is a formal, independent check of a charity’s financial records and statements. It is carried out by a qualified professional who reviews the accounts to confirm they are prepared in accordance with legal requirements, without conducting a full audit.
This service applies to charities that:
- Have an annual income over £25,000 but not exceeding £1,000,000
- Have net assets under £250,000
- Are not otherwise required by their governing document or funders to undertake a statutory audit
Charities exceeding these thresholds, or meeting certain other audit criteria, must undergo a full statutory audit rather than an Independent Examination.
