Our Services vs. Reserved Legal Activities in the UK
In accordance with UK law, Legistra Ltd does not provide any so-called reserved legal activities, which are legal services restricted exclusively to professionals holding UK practising rights (solicitors, barristers, notaries, licensed conveyancers) or licensed advisers (e.g. OISC).
Reserved Legal Activities include, among others:
Rights of audience – representation before courts and tribunals.
Conduct of litigation – conducting court proceedings.
Conveyancing – legal work relating to land transactions and Land Registry filings.
Probate activities – obtaining a grant of probate or letters of administration.
Notarial services – certification of documents.
Administration of oaths – taking oaths and affidavits.
Immigration advice regulated by OISC – e.g. preparing and submitting visa applications, appeals, representation before immigration authorities.
